Who we are

Sydal ("we") makes the Sydal desktop app and runs this website. Contact: [email protected].

The Sydal app

Sydal is local-first. Models are stored as files on your computer. The app sends no telemetry, licence keys are checked offline, and the credentials you use to connect to your systems are used once and never saved. We do not receive your models or metadata.

Data leaves your computer only when you choose to publish (for example a read-only site or an export), share (for example a link or share card you send), or use an AI feature. It then goes where you send it, not to us.

If you turn on the optional AI assistant, requests go directly from your computer to the AI provider you configure (for example your Databricks serving endpoint, Snowflake Cortex, Azure OpenAI or the Claude API), under your agreement with that provider.

This website

This website does not use analytics or cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site and the installer downloads. The contact form does not send anything to a server: it opens your own email program with a pre-filled message. If you email us, we use your message and contact details only to reply to you.

Purchases

If your organisation buys a licence, we keep the contact and billing details needed to invoice you, issue your licence key and send renewal notices. Invoices are currently paid through PayPal; card or bank details are entered with PayPal, not given to us.
